Overview
The InterFraternity Council at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) is the student organization charged with governing the 9 IFC fraternities on campus. The IFC exists as an AMS-UBC designated organization which serves to both bridge the individual fraternities on campus with the student body, and oversee the operations of its individual members. The IFC is comprised of two bodys:
- Executive Council – includes 10 elected officers from the IFC member fraternities who carry out the executive operations of the IFC.
- General Council – includes the Executive Council and voting representitives from each of the 9 member chapters.
Both councils meet on a weekly basis (typically a joint meeting) to organize and oversee the operations of the member fraternities on campus.
